Season 2 of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone was previously confirmed, but unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer, fingers crossed. Every one was eagerly looking up the list of Netflix releases for December 2021. Based on that, one thing can be inferred, the new season won’t arrive this month.

After the great bang of the first season, the streaming giant has already renewed Shadow and Bone for a second season back in June, but Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed the release date yet. 

Even Though Season 2 hasn’t started filming yet, production is expected to begin at the beginning of 2022. This process alone could take several months; After that, it will need to go through post-production, and we know that it can take a few more months to complete.

When will Shadow and Bone Season 2 be released?

With this in mind, Shadow and Bone Season 2 will likely arrive sometime in 2023, but hopefully, it will arrive in late 2022.

The happy news for the fans is that it looks like filming will begin soon. The Executive producer of the show, Josh Barry shared a post on social media about going to Bulgaria, where the show is expected to film.

The show adopts Leigh Bardugo’s best-selling book of the same name. The story encompasses theatrical action sequences, sweeping romances, and elements of horror. All eight episodes of the show premiered on 2021 April 23. 

After the successful completion of season 1, an aftershow for the series was released- Shadow and Bone- The Afterparty. The story sets in a war-torn world where the lowly soldier and orphan Alina Starkov unleashes a power that could be the key to setting her country free.
