According to the tweet from the officials of the show World’s End Harem, its much-awaited Episode 2 is delayed due to some genuine reasons. The erotic thriller science fiction anime series is based on the Japanese manga series of the same name(Shuumatsu no Harem) written by LINK and illustrated by Kotaro Shono.

It has been announced through the official Twitter page of World’s End Harem that Episode 2 onwards shall be delayed for a course and it would only resume on January 7 2022. Episode 1 was aired as scheduled but the rest of the season would only get back to the winter anime season.

In an official statement, the people behind the show expressed their gratitude to the fans and followers of their show and explained that it is inevitable for the show to undergo a detailed examination, and “scrutinize the expression” of the show. This has led to the postponement of the premiere. They also said sorry to the fans who waited patiently for the arrival of the show and hoped that they would continue to support the anime show.

Crunchyroll has acquired the official license to stream World’s End Harem outside of Asia. Crunchyroll offers an earlier screening of the shows in its library to premium users for the price of $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. For those who are not subscribed, they release the episodes for free the following week.

World’s End Harem

World’s End Harem is centered around Reito Mizuhara. He is a student of the National Advanced Medical School, but he is diagnosed with cellular sclerosis. As a result of his disease, he will be sleeping for about 5 years. After 2045, he wakes up from his deep sleep and realizes that the world only has a million men left in it as only those survived an epidemic. There are only women left on the planet. 

He got selected to be part of the breeding process for the repopulation program. Men became the most precious and scarce resource on the planet and they have to get as many women pregnant as possible. But because of his unending and sincere love towards his childhood girlfriend, he opposes mating with other women. The story follows his struggles and emotional journeys to cope up with the situation.

The first part of the manga series was serialized from May 2016 to June 2020 in Shueisha’s online magazine Shōnen Jump+. After its huge success, a second part, World’s End Harem: After World, started in Shōnen Jump+ in May 2021.

Its chapters have been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes as of August 2020. The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment under its Ghost Ship adult imprint.

The anime television series was produced by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. The first episode of the anime got premiered in October 2021 and later episodes are set to premiere in January 2022

The series has inspired another manga series, titled World’s End Harem: Fantasia and World’s End Harem: Britannia Lumiére, respectively.
