According to The Verge, the new update allows you to link your iCloud Photos library directly to the built-in Windows Photos App.
Dave Grochocki (principal product manager for Microsoft’s Windows Inbox Apps), stated that “We know that many Windows users have photo and/or video collections that they would love to be able to view on their computer.”

Grchocki said that the iCloud Photos integration will allow iPhone users to access all their cherished memories from one place. This is yet another step in our ongoing efforts to make Windows 11 seamless.
This update also includes a gallery view that allows for an alternative way to browse through photos.
Windows 11 users first need to download the Microsoft Store’s Photos app. Then, they will need to download the iCloud for Windows App from the Store. Sign in and choose which photo libraries should be automatically synchronized to the Photos app.
Microsoft and Apple collaborated on iCloud Photos integration and plan to soon bring Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple TV apps to Windows.
Microsoft has added four new features to its collaboration app Teams: Assign seats, Create Video clips and Pop out shared content in a separate window.
