Real Madrid vs. Manchester City: Champions League semifinal projected lineups, starting XIs, team news

Real Madrid vs. Manchester City

On Tuesday, April 10, the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal between Real Madrid and Manchester City will take place. A rematch of the semifinal from the previous year, which saw eventual victors Real prevail 6-5 on aggregate, this one promises more drama between these two with the second leg just around the corner in only one week. The final will take place in Istanbul on June 10 and will pit the winner of this semifinal against either Milan or Inter. But how will each squad line up for this competition? Let’s take a look at some of the latest team news:

The news for the team is that Eder Militao has been given a suspension and will not be able to play in the home leg since he received a booking shortly before all previously issued yellow cards were reset for the semifinals. Ancelotti has stated that Luka Modric would start in place of Ferland Mendy despite the fact that Mendy’s calf injury is still a concern. As a consequence of this, Aurelien Tchouameni might decide not to continue.

Possible Real XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, Camavinga; Valverde, Kroos, Modric; Rodrygo, Benzema (c), Vinicius Jr.
