Florida crashes in Dominican Republic

Details about the Jet crash Nine people were killed in a jet crash on Wednesday in the Dominican Republic, including renowned Puerto Rican music producer Flow La Movie.

The private aircraft, which was boarded by seven travelers and two crew members, flew from La Isabela international airport in El Higüero and was bound for Orlando, Florida.

But the pilots hastily announced that there was an emergency and tried to turn the flight to the Las Américas international airport which was nearby, crashing the plane in the process. The victims included the 38-year-old music producer, his 31-year-old partner, Debbie Von Marie Jiménez García, and their four-year-old son.

Statement from the Aviation company 

According to reports from Helidosa Aviation Group, the owners of the aircraft, it was not known what caused the pilots to scrap the jet. The company’s statement read, “For Helidosa, this accident causes us great pain and sorrow.

We stand in solidarity with the affected families that, along with us, are going through a difficult time.” Visuals on social media point to the alleged site of the crash where rescue squads scuffled to extinguish the fire and smoke.

Flow’s accolades and reactions from the Music Industry 

The Puerto Rican producer, José Angel Hernandez contributed to successful Latin tracks like Te Boté and AM which topped Billboard charts. A veteran with more than a decade’s experience under his belt, Flow also established his own indie record label and management agency.

Many Latin musicians grieved Flow’s demise on social media with Colombian singer J Balvin writing: “José Angel, thanks for your good vibes always. Rest in peace.” Spanish artist Juan Magan wrote: “What a tragedy! A man and his family conquering the world, it wasn’t their turn to go. RIP Flow.”

Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Don Omar also paid his condolences writing: “Sorry for your loss and that of your family.

Thank you for the opportunity to collaborate. Fly high, see you later.”

The other sufferers of the crash were six relatives of Flow including Keilyan Hernandez, Yeilianys Jeishlimar Melendez Jimenez, and Jesiel Yabdiel Silva.
