On 25th July 2016, this novel was serialized in Kakao’s digital comic and also on the fiction platform KakaoPageand and this novel was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus label on 4th November 2016.

Now, this popular web novel series is going to release its own video game version. This modification was officially announced at Netmarble’s latest press event and this video game would be an action RPG title for both PC and Mobile.

Solo Leveling is a South Korean web novel series that is popularly known as Manhwa which was written by Chugong and illustrated by Redice Studio’s Jang “Dubu” Sang-rak.

The basic storyline of this web novel is Sung Jin-woo, he is a lowly E-rank hunter in a modern world where other humans can possess magical skills and become great hunters and he is still struggling to pay his mother’s hospital bills, etc. In spite of his bad reputation as the world’s feeble hunter, he is still able to earn a living by participating in dungeon raids on a daily basis.

One day, Jin-woo unexpectedly accomplished a secret task when his group left him for dead in a very parlous double den, earning him the chance to become a “player,” a special position that permits him to clear dungeons, get quests, and lift his stats on his own.

When will the Solo Leveling game be released?

Netmarble Neo (a video game developer) is currently working on the project of Solo Leveling game. During the press (NTP) event when the game is officially announced by the developer, the official gameplay trailer was released. And till now, there is no official release date for the game.

The CEO of Netmarble company, Kwon Young-sik declared that the company’s latest list of twenty key games is an element of the company’s goal of getting robust in-house IPs.
