Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of Paschal High School in Fort Worth ISD

FORT WORTH  – The Fort Worth Fire Department is investigating a bomb threat at R. L. Paschal high school Thursday morning.

Investigators said the threat came in just before 8:45.

Students and staff were briefly evacuated as the department’s bomb squad searched the campus. Fort Worth police also responded to the scene.

Students at nearby Texas Christian University received a text alerting them to the activity and stated that although there was no threat, they should avoid the campus.

Due to a Bomb Threat, the Paschal High School in the Fort Worth ISD Was Evacuated.

An investigation into a bomb threat made to R. L. Paschal high school on Thursday morning is being conducted by the Fort Worth Fire Department.

According to the investigators, the threat was reported immediately before 8:45.

During the brief period that the department’s bomb squad was searching the campus, students and staff were forced to evacuate the building. The Fort Worth Police Department arrived on the scene as well.

Students at Texas Christian University, which is located nearby, were sent a text message warning them about the activity. The message also advised them to stay away from the school, despite the fact that there was no immediate danger.

 

There has been no confirmation of the discovery of any bombs as of yet.

Typical morning activities at Paschal High School resumed just after 10:30 a.m.

Calls placed to the Fort Worth Independent School District for the purpose of obtaining a comment had not been responded to as of 10:49 a.m.
