Derek Jeter joins Fox Sports baseball studio team
Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter have been reunited.
Fox Sports announced Sunday, during the Super Bowl pregame broadcast, that Jeter would be covering the studio coverage of the upcoming season.
Rodriguez hugged Jeter and presented him with a Fox Sports jersey. Jeter was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame in 2020. He also joined fellow Hall of Famer David Ortiz, and host Kevin Burkhardt on the studio team.

“I was at the World Series in Philadelphia, and David Ortiz kept showing me his World Series rings. Jeter jokes that he figured he would be humbled if I joined the team.
Jeter and Rodriguez were friends on the New York Yankees team for 10 seasons. However, their relationship was not close. The two of them were close friends in their early years together during their major league careers.

However, Jeter admitted last year during his ESPN documentary series “The Captain”, that they had become distant after Rodriguez’s comments made to Esquire magazine in 2001.
Rodriguez thanked Jeter’s teammates in the Yankees’ four World Series titles in five years, 1996-2000.
However, the two seem to have put all their differences behind them.
Jeter, who won five championships in his 20-year Yankees career, said last season on Rodriguez’s ESPN show “Sunday Night Baseball” that they had spoken to one another to clarify things.
Jeter was part of the Miami Marlins ownership group for four and a half years. He was also baseball’s first Black CEO. Last February, he resigned.
