insightsoftware appoints Industry veteran Michael Sullivan as CEO.
Sullivan joins insightsoftware from Acquia, a digital experience software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, where he was President and CEO for five years. He is praised for his entrepreneurial flair and an in-depth understanding of the development process, Sullivan is an established pioneer in the growth of SaaS businesses, particularly accelerating Acquia’s expansion through innovation in its products and many strategic acquisitions.
In the early years of the course of his professional career Sullivan was the founder and CEO of Steelpoint Technologies, which became a leading player in the eDiscovery sector.
He was the CEO and Founder during its acquisition by Zantaz that was later bought from HP Autonomy. Sullivan was later able to assume various management positions within Hewlett Packard Enterprise before supporting the merger of Micro Focus and Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s software business.
Sullivan is the recipient of numerous honors and awards for his accomplishments. In the month of October, 2022, he received the honor of being named one of the most influential 50 SaaS CEOs in 2022.
In December 2018, he received the honor of being listed among the Top CEOs Comparably. In the past, in 2000 and 2004 , the company recognized him as a finalist by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.

It has completed 24 acquisitions in the past and is growing to over 32,000 enterprise clients around the world. By 2021 the company received Hg to invest in addition to TA and minor investors ST6 along with Genstar to further invent and further develop its software offerings.

Sullivan replaces Jim Triandiflou, who has been the CEO since 2020. Under Triandiflou’s guidance, insightsoftware meaningfully increased revenue it was able to successfully complete 12 acquisitions to expand its software offerings as well as expanding its employee base across the globe. Sullivan and Triandiflou worked closely with the new leadership team.
