Betty White, the legendary actress, and icon of the television industry dies at 99. It is assumed to be a natural death as there are no reports of any disease.
She was weeks away from her 100th birthday. She would have turned a centenarian on January 17. A movie event “Betty White: 100 Years Young- A Birthday celebration” was planned to be hosted on her birthday. She was enthusiastic and was eagerly waiting to see it with her fans.
The producers of the film said that the event will go on as planned.
“Our hearts mourn today with the passing of Betty White. During the many years we worked with her, we developed a great love and admiration for Betty as a person, and as an accomplished entertainer,” film producers Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein said in a media statement. “We are thankful for the many decades of delight she brought to everyone. Betty always said she was the ‘luckiest broad on two feet to have had a career as long as she did. And honestly, we were the lucky ones to have had her for so long.”

Betty Marion White Ludden was born on January 17, 1922, in Oak Park in Illinois. She had her education at Beverly Hills Highschool. When she was just eight years, she made her debut in radio programming in 1930. Later she began working as a radio personality in Los Angeles. After her television entry, she n]became one of the successful panelists of American game shows like Password, Match Game, To Tell the Truth, The Hollywood Squares and was known as the first lady of game shows.
She also won many awards including eight Emmy awards for her exemplary performance as a game host. She had one of the longest television careers and it earned her a Guinness World Record in 2018.
White also had her place in Hollywood. She was amazing in her roles on The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Later in her career, she played important characters on Hot in Cleveland and the 2009 super hit film The Proposal.

She was married three times and has three stepchildren. Her first marriage was with Dick Barker in 1945. They got divorced in the same year. After that, she was married to actor Lane Allen in 1947. Allen and Betty lived for 2 years and got separated. Finally, she was married to Allen Ludden in 1963, whom she called the love of her life. She then became a stepmother to his three kids. She didn’t have her biological children. Later he passed away in 1981
