A “first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural space,” the cultural center in Mumbai, India, debuted on Friday with a presentation of Indian arts and entertainment. The center describes itself as a “first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural space.” Through art literacy and outreach activities, as well as contests, the institute works toward its mission of improving India’s cultural infrastructure.
At the launch of the center, Hollywood power couple Zendaya and Tom Holland made a fashion statement with their attire. The actress from “Euphoria” wore a cosmic, navy blue dress with star motifs, and Holland dressed in a sharp, black-and-white tuxedo. Together, they looked like a starry night sky comes to life. Chopra Jonas paid tribute to the actress’s dual heritage by dressing in a repurposed vintage outfit that consisted of a holographic bustier and a vibrant Banarasi patola saree. This outfit was an upcycled vintage piece.
According to the official website of the cultural center, it features three different theaters that are dedicated to the performance of various forms of live art. These include the 2,000-seat Grand Theatre, the 250-seat Studio Theatre, and the 125-seat Cube.
The founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, Nita Mukesh Ambani, is a vision in gold as she wears a wrap that has a metallic-like appearance.
Moreover, the complex features the Art House, which is a four-story exhibition hall that will display a variety of art exhibits and installations.
“We were keen to create a space for both promoting and celebrating our artistic and cultural heritage in cinema and music, in dance and drama, in literature and folklore, in arts and crafts, and in science and spirituality,” said the founder Nita Mukesh Ambani. “We were keen to create a space for both promoting and celebrating our artistic and cultural heritage in cinema and music.” A place where we can present the finest that India has to offer to the rest of the world and where we can also welcome the best that the rest of the world has to offer to India.
