Oliver Steele, a singer who is 25 years old and who was just eliminated from American Idol, returned to the show on Sunday, May 21, to demonstrate his remarkable skill during the concluding episode of the current season of the competition. During the up-and-coming musician’s performance, well-known country hitmaker Jelly Roll joined him on stage to perform a duet of their hit song “Need A Favor” together. After being released on February 13, this song quickly rose to the top of the rock charts, surpassing Jelly Roll’s previously successful singles “Son of a Sinner” and “Dead Man Walking,” which had been the most played song on rock radio stations.

Oliver Steele’s rendition of Eric Clapton’s “Change the World” was so impressive that it earned him a place in the competition. He began his performance by singing the first verse of Jelly Roll’s “Need A Favor” as he entered the stage, and then he transitioned into his rendition of the song. His extraordinary singing abilities, which he has perfected over the course of his career, were on full display throughout this performance.

Oliver Steele grew up in Mt. Juliet, which is less than 25 miles away from where Jelly Roll was raised. This is an interesting fact since it means that Oliver Steele and Jelly Roll share the same hometown. Steele could not stop praising Jelly Roll while he was being interviewed by PEOPLE. He said, “He’s a clever man. He is the inspiration behind everything that I do. Having to deal with him on a regular basis has been challenging. He’s gone through a lot, that’s for sure.”

Oliver Steele has recently published two tracks to streaming services, one of which is a rendition of Harry Styles’ popular song “As It Was,” and the other is an original track named “Too Soon.” Steele is best known for his time on the American Idol stage. In an interview with PEOPLE, he discussed how much he had enjoyed the mentoring aspect of American Idol, in which he had the opportunity to work one-on-one with various singers, remarking, “To be able to come in as a mentor, and play as well, is fantastic. That was my residence for a number of different seasons.

In conclusion, Oliver Steele and Jelly Roll’s performance on the final episode of American Idol was absolutely incredible and left the audience in amazement. The two performers collaborated in order to create magic on stage, and the fact that they shared a background contributed significantly to the impact of their presentation. As Oliver Steele continues to create waves in the music industry, we can’t wait to find out what the future has for us in terms of what he has in store for us.
