After taking a holiday of a few weeks, “Saturday Night Live” returned on 15th January 2022 with the first episode of 2022. Ariana DeBose and musical guest Bleachers will be hosting the “ Saturday Night Live” show for the first time. Earlier rapper Roddy Ricch was hosting the show, Due to some reasons, he was replaced by Ariana DeBose. Ariana DeBose and Bleachers will make a “Saturday Night Live” debut from the first episode of SNL.
Who is Ariana DeBose?
Ariana DeBose is an American-based multi-talented actress, vocalist, and dancer. She basically belongs from North Carolina and she is famous for her performance in Steven Spielberg’s musical film West Side Story for playing Anita. The Starlet was brought up in Raleigh where she learned to dance when she was only seven years old, according to The New York Times. In 2009 Ariana DeBose made her television debut on “ So You Think You Can Dance.” She was even in the overall top 20 list on the sixth season of “ So You Think You Can Dance.”
Ariana DeBose attended Triple Arts, Broadway veterans of Charlotte Amboise, and Terence Mann’s musical theater summer intensive in high school. The couple helped to train the inexperienced performer for auditions and also suggested skipping college and going right to Broadway instead.
But although she already started college at Western Carolina University in spring 2010 as a part of the musical theater program there, the starlet ultimately dropped out to pursue her career.
Her Broadway Career
Before she was a Golden Globe Winner For her beautiful work on screen, Ariana DeBose found her slot on Broadway. Throughout her career, which spans more than a decade, she has produced countless projects. She made her debut in 2011 with a play titled “Bring It On” as Nautica and in 2013 Ariana DeBose as Mary Wilson in the play “Motown: The Musical.” In the year 2014 DeBose was the Leading Player in the renewal of “Pippin.”
Alongside Ariana, DeBose has appeared on Lin Manuel in “Hamilton” from 2015 to 2016 as one of the most important members of the original cast in the Broadway and off-Broadway productions. In the show “A Bronx Tale,” co-directed by Robert DeNiro, Ariana DeBose plays Jane, the love interest of man, from 2016 to 2017.
The following period, Ariana DeBose took on the part of Disco Donna in “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.” From this role, DeBose earned designation for best-featured Starlet in a musical at the 72nd Annual Tony Awards.
Making the transition from one stage to on screen
In recent years, Ariana DeBose has made a transition from on stage to on screen and started to perform in multiple on screen roles in both movies, web series and in television. She recently portrayed the character of Alyssa in Netflix series “The Prom” which is directed by Ryan Murphy and in this series Hollywood legends Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Rannells and Keegan Michael also played an important role in the series “The Prom.”
Most recently, In Steven Spielberg’s recreation of “Western Tales” premieres Ariana DeBose won a gold medal in late 2021. Ariana DeBose follows the footsteps of Rita Moreno by portraying Anita, it was the same role that won the 90 year old actor an Oscar in 1962.
