Biden, the president of the United States. Biden President Biden urged Democrats in a Wednesday speech to turn in the polls for the midterm elections next week or “allow the forces of darkness that seek power” to erode American democratic institutions.
Biden encouraged a group of supporters attending an Democratic National Committee event inside Union Station in Washington, D.C. not to take the vote as a given. The president said that Democrats must show up in the voting booths since Republicans were not able to be trusted with power in the political arena.

The Economy is looming large to US voters in Midterm Elections
In his remarks Biden was heavily influenced by his previous remarks that described the midterms as a chance to defy the extremist politics of the GOP.
“It’s estimated that over 300 [GOP] election dealers will be on the polls throughout America the year ahead,” Biden said. “This isn’t about me. It’s all about longevity that our democratic system has.”
Biden’s remarks came less than a week following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband , who was brutally assaulted during a violent assault in San Francisco, California. While the motivation behind the attack is still unclear, Democrats have been quick to say that years of GOP criticisms have made Pelosi along with her husband members the targets.
“This aggression against Democrats, Republicans, and non-partisan officials doing their job is the result of lies being told to gain power and make money,” said Biden. “Lies repeated repeatedly to create an unending cycle of anger, hatred, vitriol, and sometimes even violence. “
Recent polls indicate that voters but they aren’t taking the message seriously amid 40 years of high inflation. Although Biden’s approval ratings have increased in recent weeks, the Fox News poll this month discovered that Republicans are ahead of Democrats when it comes to likely voters on the ballot for the congressional preference.
A similar poll revealed an overwhelming majority (89%) of respondents expressed concern about the rise in inflation and prices however only 74% of respondents said they felt the same way about America’s continuing political divisions.
“Joe Biden promised unity but has instead attacked and discredited Americans and made the lives of all Americans more costly,” said Ronna Romney McDaniel as the chairperson of the Republican National Committee. “While Republicans remain focused on the matters that are most important for voters Biden as well as Democrats are struggling in the last days due to their loss of connection with the issues for families trying to scrape through the day.”
A few Republicans were quick to criticize Biden’s remarks and claim that the president tried to improve the chances of winning elections for Democrats by stoking fear.
