Surfer Dies After Apparent Shark Attack Off Morro Bay on Christmas Eve

A shark attack off Morro Bay was reported by the authorities on Christmas Eve in the California United States. The person is identified as male and found or declared dead at the beach.

As per the CNN reports that a surfer was attacked and killed by the shark attack off Morro Bay on Christmas eve at the California beach in the United States. The news was officially declared by the Morro Bay Harbor Department. As per their official statement, it was mentioned that the body of a male surfer was found by the local authorities at the Morro Bay State Park beach.

The Incident

The man was assumed to be in the early 20s or 30s, the body of the surfer was at first spotted by a lady surfer who had taken the body to the shore before the local authorities or officials showed up soon after 10:30 am, as indicated by a report of the KION-TV. He was declared dead at the sore as reported in the report.

The case/incident has been investigated by the San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office in association with the State Parks officers as stated in the departmental statement. As per an assertion delivered by the Morro Bay Police Department, it was mentioned that first-hand response had been dispatched to the ocean side only the north of the Atascadero Road into the Central Coast city in regards to the reporting of an unresponsive men’s casualty around the ocean. Specialists have not delivered the casualty’s name or his age as mentioned the same is still under investigation.

No extra insights regarding the destructive incident have been delivered in the midst of the office’s investigation.

The office cautioned a warning to all the beachgoers to not go surfing and to remain out of the ocean for the following 24 hours in relation to an attack as per the official statement from the department. Other than this local beach is open to the public.

As per the statement given by Harbor Director Eric Endersby to CNN, he said that it’s an awful incident. Luckily, the climate and wind have destroyed the surf, so there are very few surfers, however, we have shut the waters for the wellbeing and security of all for the next 24 hours.

As ABC News revealed referring to information, dangerous shark assaults are an uncommon occurrence, and out of 33 shark assaults detailed last year, just three were deadly.
