Space Force is an American-based workplace comedy, Military fiction television series which is created by Steve Carell and Gerg Daniels. This series centers on a group of people tasked with establishing the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces. It follows the attempt of General Mark R. Naird (role played by Steve Carell) to get “boots on the moon” by the year 2024 as per the president’s orders.
With less than a month before its official release, Netflix had released an official trailer of Space Force second season on 27 January 2022, the satire from The Office showrunner Gerg Daniels. Steve Carell as General Mark R. Naird, John Malkovich as Dr. Adrian Mallory, Ben Schwartz as F. Tony, Diana Silvers as Erin Naird, and Tawny Newsome in the role of Captain Angela Ali has been cast for this series, which will release on 18th February 2022. The Space Force series is a Military Comedy as well as a workplace comedy like The Office.
Space Force began filming the second season in May. According to some reports, Netflix compensated Steve Carrel $1 Million per episode to return for the series in the role of General Mark R. Naird. He is working in the series as the show’s star, one of its executive producers, and also as co-creator.
Season 2 of Space Force is expected to premiere on 18th February 2022. The new season picks up right where the last season left off, with General Mark R. Naird being sent for a court-martial for ignoring or disobeying the orders. In the first trailer of Space Force, we see the whole team trying to prove their worth to the new administration.
The co-creator of the series Space Force, Greg Daniels sat down with Collider and shared his view on the second season of Space Force that fans should expect a funnier and stronger season this time. Greg Daniels explained that he thinks the big picture is that they are concentrating on the gags more. It is more about the comedy scene between the cast. Space Force is a new type of workplace comedy where the ambitions are sky high and stakes even higher. Diana Silvers, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome with co-star Lisa Kundrow, Noah Emmerich, Jimmy O. Yang, Don Lake, and Alex Sparrow. Howard Klein, Paul King, Steve Carell, Brent Forrester serve as an executive producers, with Daniels as the showrunner.
