Man United great with a stone face Micah Richards is completely discredited by Roy Keane in just five sentences.

Roy Keane

Roy Keane, a former captain of Manchester United, admitted that he is “worried” for his old club ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley. Despite this, Keane feels that Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford will be able to cause Manchester City issues.

United will go into the showcase competition in the nation’s capital with the intention of adding another trophy to their collection in order to bring the curtain down on a successful first season under the management of Erik ten Hag. They triumphed over Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final back in February, winning by a score of 2-0 to claim their first piece of silverware in the previous six years.

United will be able to look back on this season with a smile regardless of the result of this weekend’s matchup with City because they won the Carabao Cup and finished in the top four in the Premier League. This accomplishment will allow United to grin when they think about this season. The Reds, on the other hand, are aware that there is more than just another trophy up for grabs because the Blues are still in with a possibility of earning a famous treble.

City has been quite consistent over the past few months, and they will go into their match against United beneath the arch as favorites to win yet another piece of silverware to add to their collection. But despite the fact that Keane is concerned for Ten Hag’s team, he believes that the opposing team has players who can “hurt” City.

Speaking on The FA Cup Special Overlap, which was produced in association with Sky Bet, Keane said, “I am worried for Manchester United. Manchester City have dominated them for the past few years, but United have players like Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford who can hurt City.” Keane’s comments were made in reference to the fact that Manchester City have dominated Manchester United in recent years.

“Wembley, with its atmosphere and the fact that United has been written off – it’s dangerous.”

In April, United prevailed over Brighton in the semifinals of the competition by prevailing on penalties following a goalless draw after 120 minutes of regulation time. The Seagulls were in such good form at the time that many people had them pegged as the favorites to win, but the Reds were able to pull off the upset and set up a first-ever all-Manchester match in the FA Cup final.

“People were writing United off as a contender against Brighton as if United couldn’t cope against Brighton, who were doing well at the time, but they turned up – and they get over the line in the big games,” added Keane. “People were writing United off as a contender against Brighton as if United couldn’t cope against Brighton, who were doing well at the time.”

“They are a bit better [than they were], but on paper, City is the favorite – but that just might work out for United,”
