Priyanka Chopra recently caused her fans to go into a major panic mode speculating a potential divorce after noticing that she had subtly changed her name on Instagram and now she is setting the record straight.

Back in November eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Priyanka’s Chopra had updated her Instagram and Twitter handles from @PriyankaChopraJonas to @priyankachopra. Speculations went around surrounding trouble in paradise between her and Nick Jonas.
Now, in an interview in Vanity Fair, she is breaking her silence on the matter and even describes the “random Monday in November” this all went down as a professional hazard”
Priyanka looks stunning on the front cover and tells the fashion magazine, social media is far from being the be-all and end-all. She added that the experience served as a prime example of the microscope celebrities find themselves under in this age.
“It’s a very vulnerable feeling that if I post a picture, everything that’s behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate,” the Mary Kom star explained.
“It’s just a professional hazard… Because of the noise of our social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don’t think it needs that,” she added.
To put an end to all the rumors about their split in November, Priyanka had left a flirty comment on one of Jonas’ workout videos. “Damn! I just died in your arms…” she wrote at the time, followed by a couple of heart emojis.
So fans can rest assured, things appear to be in between Priyanka and Nick. Considering just last week she rang in the new year by sharing a series of sweet photos featuring her hubby. Nick also took to Instagram on new years eve to share a photo of his new year kiss featuring his forever lady.
Speaking of Nick, she also chimed in on the speculation surrounding their relationship adding “ We both know that public life is something that comes with what we do. But we have set boundaries around our personal lives, our privacy and worked hard to create that little haven for ourselves with our friends and family. Priyanka even touched on the fact that he has become much more introverted as her career progressed to prioritize her mental health.
After realizing just how much the entertainment industry takes out celebrities she went on to explain” it takes a part of your soul, constantly trying to make sure that you say the right thing, do the right thing, dress the right way, not make a mistake, not trip because the whole world is going to watch you.
Priyanka and Nick Jonas had their spectacular wedding both in Christian and a Hindu ceremony in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 1 and 2 in 2018. They had recently shared snaps from their wedding anniversary in social media handles. “ Living the dream” was captioned by Priyanka for a romantic photo with red balloons and beautiful flowers. Nick also shared a video of the celebrations of three blissful years with a simple caption” 3 years”
