Maya Angelou becomes First Black Woman to appear on a US Quarter

Marguerite Annie Johnson often known as Maya Angelou was born on April 4, 1928. She was multi-talented as she was an American Poet, Memoirist, and civil rights promoter. She published her seven autobiographies, three books of essays, and a lot more related to movies, and television shows during her lifetime. She was reputed for her distinctive, isolated, and advanced autobiographical writing technique. She was presented with many awards.

American economist, educator Janet Yellen said “Each time we redesign our currency, we have the chance to say something about our country — what we value, and how we’ve progressed as a society.’’ “I’m very proud that these coins celebrate the contributions of some of America’s most remarkable women, including Maya Angelou.”

Maya Angelou has become the first black woman to pop up in the US region, after a coin highlighting the late poet and reformer’s image went into broadcasting on Monday.

The quarter displayed a depiction of Angelou with her arms elevated, a bird aviating, and a glowing sun behind her,  with the art of George Washington on the “heads” side. The US mint told that it was influenced by poetry and symbolic of the way she lived.

She informed her brother, who notified the rest of her family. After a couple of days, he was murdered, with the cause that Angelou’s uncle did it.  The consequence came that Maya look good on to mute for almost five years. So for the succeeding 5 years, Angelou refused to speak. Writing, Compositions and humanities assisted her and discovered her voice one more time.

The multitalented lady spoke six languages. She gained an understanding of French, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, and Fante respectively languages. She wrote and directed several movies like poetic justice, down to the delta, Elmo slaves Christmas, and the list is never-ending. King Martin Luther was killed on her birthday i.e., 4th April. The lady made history by featuring on US coin.

Maya Angelou died on 28th May 2014 at Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States of America. She is worth $10 million. Everyone was influenced by her work as she was a Playwright, Actor, Television Producer, Film Director, Poet, Author, Professor, Screenwriter, Dancer. Her death reason was natural, but her son lay claim that she was racked in pain while dancing.

But her death was committed by her literary agent, Helen Brann. He told me that cause was a heart issue,  The lady closed her eyes on 28th May 2014.
