In 2022, he was the subject of controversy as he hosted some physicians on his podcast who provided misinformation regarding the pandemic.
Did UFC pull Joe Rogan?
According to media reports, Joe Rogan will not be handling his normal duties for the MMA broadcast because of a “scheduling conflict”. As per the reports, former middleweight champion Michael Bisping will be replacing Rogan on ESPN.
This “scheduling conflict” happened because of the controversies on his Spotify podcast that has been a source of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation. Over 100 episodes were pulled from the streaming platform because of his use of misinformation, N-word on some episodes, and other controversies.
Spotify has notified that disclaimers will be added to some episodes that are still on the platform. Many singers and artists have removed their songs from the platform in protest of Rogan’s exclusive contract.
Regarding this Rogan issued an apology video for the things he had said. But later on a podcast episode, he said that the recent controversies are a “political hit job.”
