Hospitalization of Amanda Bynes – As a result of an alleged mental episode and significant weight loss brought on by suspected prescription drug addiction, Amanda Bynes is currently being treated at a hospital.
According to sources with direct knowledge of the situation, Amanda has recently had “startling and rapid weight loss over the previous few months,” and some close to the actress suspect drug abuse.
She currently weighs less than 100 pounds, which is unfortunate.
As we previously reported, Bynes dialled 9-1-1 on herself in Los Angeles and was then given a 72-hour psychiatric detention. She was apparently strolling about downtown Los Angeles while absolutely naked at the time. Evidently, Amanda signalled a passing vehicle and said she was “coming down” after a psychotic episode.
Amanda was brought to a police station after cops arrived on the incident, where mental health specialists determined she required hospitalisation.
The length of Amanda’s hospital stay is yet unknown, however her family is in communication with medical personnel. A 5150 hold typically lasts three days, but a judge or a doctor may decide to extend it if they feel she needs more time for treatment.
Our sources aren’t saying which drug they think Amanda is abusing, although she has a history with Adderall, which when misused can result in rapid weight loss.
Bynes revealed her drug usage to Paper Magazine in 2018. At the height of her fame, the actress claims she battled “serious body image issues,” which contributed to her Adderall addiction. According to Amanda, the circumstance made her give up performing.
It should be emphasised that the actress spent many years in a conservatorship, which allowed her family and the courts to keep an eye on her actions and subsequent care. Surprisingly, Amanda was freed from conservatorship almost exactly a year ago. The conservatorship was no longer necessary, the judge said in an order dated March 24, 2022, citing the information she had “given.”
According to the record, she had “the ability to consent voluntarily to any type of medical treatment. The court rules that the conservatorship is no longer necessary and that there are no longer sufficient reasons to create a conservatorship of the person. The conservatorship of Amanda Bynes’s person will be ended by the court after it grants the petition for termination.”
