Florida House poised for bill on migrant flight.

The Florida House will vote on a bill to help send migrants into sanctuary cities and states. Florida will be able to transport undocumented migrants from all 50 states, not just Florida, if this bill is passed.

The governor would establish the Unauthorized Alien Transportation Program to help migrants relocate if they are processed by the federal government. This bill would clean up legislation that was the subject of lawsuits against Gov. Ron DeSantis chartered a private company to fly 49 migrants last fall from San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard.

Legal questions arose after the governor’s office paid for Martha’s Vineyard’s flight using money meant to transport migrants from Florida. This was in addition to condemnation. The bill being considered by lawmakers specifies that future flights can move migrants from any part of the U.S.

The bill would have $10 million set aside to transport migrants to refuge areas. The Senate has already approved it. It is expected that the House vote will take place on Friday morning.

Republican Senator Blaise Ingoglia was the bill’s sponsor in the Senate. He stated that it will only transport migrants who have volunteered to travel to sanctuary states and cities.

Blaise Ingoglia, State Senator from Spring Hill, stated that “the federal government has not only failed to act but refused to take any actions to address the over 200% rise in encounters at the border.” “In fact, the administration has taken steps that will make the problem worse. Florida is not a sanctuary state and will never be. It is time for sanctuary cities to start spending real money.

Democrats however describe the bill as a scheme to make people political pawns at Florida taxpayers.

“What we’re seeing is that most of our Republican counterparts don’t really care about accountability,” stated State Rep. Dotie Joseph, D-North Miami. “They want the governor to have the freedom to do whatever he likes, regardless of legality, constitutionality, or other considerations.”

Sen. Lori Berman (Democrat) said, “I don’t know why they single them out, and we are making them uncomfortable.” “It’s a political ploy that they are using here in Florida.

The Biden administration released new border rules last month to curb the influx of migrants making dangerous journeys to the U.S. Asylum seekers must apply for pre-authorization in order to enter the U.S. using a Customs and Borders Protection application.

If they are from Venezuela, Haiti, Nicaragua, Nicaragua and Nicaragua, they can apply from their homelands if they have a U.S. financial sponsor and pass background and health checks.

The parole process will not apply to those who arrive in Florida by boat. The U.S. will also ban them for five years.

Last month, Gov. Officials acknowledged that some boats still make it through, but the increased security has prevented illegal boats and rafts from reaching shore.
