Doctor Strange 2 Release date
The producers have come up with a concrete date for the film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit cinemas on May 6, 2022. This appears that it will be taking the slot of Thor: Love and Thunder which has been pushed back to July 8, 2022.
Doctor Strange 2 was planned for release on May 7, 2021. But because of the pandemic, the release date was pushed back to March 25, 2022. Hopefully, this new date will stick.
The Filming of the second installation took place between November 2020 and April 2021 in the UK. There were many delays due to restrictions because of the pandemic. Some reshoots were completed in September 2021 and in January 2022.

Marvel officially released the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on December 22, 2021, after it debuted as No Way Home‘s post-credits scene.
Doctor Strange 2 -Cast
Benedict Cumberbatch is, of course, returning as Doctor Stephen Strange. He will have a dual role in the movie. Elizabeth Olsen will be playing Wanda Maximoff, Rachel Mcadams as Dr. Christina Palmer, Michael Stuhlbarg as Dr. Nicodemus West, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez will be appearing in the second installation also.
Doctor Strange- Plot
In Kathmandu, Nepal the sorcerer Kaecilius and his gang entered a secret compound Kamar- Taj and beheaded the librarian. They steal a few pages from an ancient mystical text belonging to the Ancient One, a long-lived sorcerer who has taught every student at Kamar Taj including Kaecilius in the mystic arts. The ancient one pursues them but Kaecilius and his followers escape in New York City.
Stephen Strange, an acclaimed but arrogant neurosurgeon badly injures his hands in a car accident leaving him unable to operate. Fellow surgeon and former lover Christine Palmer tries to help him move on but Strange vainly pursues experimental surgeries to heal his hands.
Strange eventually learns of Jonathan Pangborn a paraplegic who mysteriously regained full use of his legs. Pangborn directs Strange to Kamar- Taj where he is taken in by Mordo, a sorcerer under the Ancient One. The Ancient One demonstrates her power to Strange revealing the astral plane and other dimensions such as the mirror dimensions. She eventually agrees to train Strange despite his arrogance which reminds her of Kaecilius. Strange studies under the Ancient One and Mordo and from ancient books in the library, which is guarded by Master Wong.
Season 2 is directed by famous American filmmaker and actor Sam Riami. The screenplay is done by Jade Halley Bartlett and Michael Waldron. It is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Motion Pictures.
