The video game industry is enlarging and it’s only the first month of 2022 where we can already see a lot of new deals happening around. Sony is now all set to buy Bungie which not only developed Destiny 2 but also forged Halo. This is a huge deal of $3.6B which was announced on Monday recently. The multiplatform studio will remain the same and Destiny 2 will be granted access over platforms like PlayStation, PC, and other similar ones. There will also be an option of self-publishing any game.

This fact was confirmed by the SIE president Jim Ryan in an interview where he stated how the platform will remain the same and completely free for creativity. Even the CEO of Bungie confirmed the fact with his own statement of not abandoning the choice of self-publishing any game or granting independent publishing to the users. On the other hand, Destiny 2 has been promised to stay on all the platforms announced and might also expand to newer platforms in the future. Additionally, users are also told that they will have access to the same game almost everywhere no matter the platform.

Another talk about the conversation also hinted towards a supportive partner in SIE who has been very promising about expanding the vision of the same team. While the team aims to enlarge the vision to greater levels, it also aims to keep the creative freedom for all in equal amounts. They also want to hire brilliantly talented people for the studio and fill the space with as many ambitious people as possible to expand the vision. Bungie also aims to develop various projects in the future which have currently been kept aside. Gamers and game creators will be acknowledged more than ever through Bungie and the team joining the PlayStation family will only bring more opportunities in the future.

Speaking of PlayStation specifically, the team is also ambitious just like the Bungie team. It has been expanding greatly since the last few years with games and software. With that being said, the future seems much brighter for gamers now.
