The XQ-58A Valkyrie Drone
Kratos”XQ-58A Valkyrie is an extremely fast and long-range UAS designed in conjunction with Air Force Research Laboratory.
A trapezoidal fuselage, as well as a V-shaped tail emphasize its stealthy design which makes it difficult to track and detect by the enemy radar.
With an overall size in excess of 9.14 meters (30 feet) The aircraft utilizes automated flight control systems designed to enhance the efficiency of maneuvering during military missions.
Furthermore the Valkyrie can also carry two GBU-39 small-diameter bombs as well as other weapons.
The drone can fly at a height of up to 45,000 feet (13.7 kilometers) and a maximum speed of Mach 0.72 (889 miles/km each hour).
“The Valkyrie is the right system, at the right price, at the right time, and we stand ready with active production lines and a family of low cost, high performance, jet drone systems to provide affordable mass to the US and its allies today,” Kratos president Eric DeMarco said last year.
