The Appeals Court Ordered Another Look at the Revised DACA Program

A federal appeals court ordered a lower court to review changes made by the Biden administration to a program that prevents hundreds of thousands of immigrants brought to the United States as children from being deported.

the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals stated that a federal district judge in Texas should examine the program once more.

An advocate for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, Veronica Garcia, stated, “It appears that the status quo for DACA remains.”

DACA was implemented by the administration of former President Obama, and it has faced numerous challenges in federal court.DACA was declared illegal by Texas-based U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen last year.
